Hallowe'en

Hallowe'en is just around the corner, and I heard "Monster Mash" on the radio.
"Monster Mash" is a 1962 novelty song which is the best-known song by Bobby "Boris" Pickett.
I thought I'd post a few versions of the tune. There are many others covers.

Eagles - Seven Bridges Road

A buddy of mine challenged me to connect Mike Nesmith with the Eagles... A challenge beyond me but with a few clues from him (Garry) I found the tune "Seven Bridges Road". It is the title of a song written by Steve Young recorded in 1969 for his Rock Salt & Nails album.

Ian Matthews recorded "Seven Bridges Road" on his Valley Hi album in 1973 (produced by, and featuring, former Monkee Michael Nesmith on guitar).

The song was recorded live by the Eagles for their Eagles Live album in 1980, and still receives significant airplay on classic rock stations, thus the connection.

Here (for Garry) are appropriately, "Seven" versions of "Seven Bridges Road"... Much more detailed info at "http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seven_Bridges_Road"

As always, these are lo-fi recordings, included for discusion purposes... for the hi-fi versions, I believe they are all available for sale... The B

1970 - Joan Baez
1973 - Ian Matthews
1980 - Eagles (Live)

New Beatles Release

It's fun to visit places you've seen on TV and in photos...
My profile pic is of me at the Mansion used on the TV
series "Dark Shadows", which is not in Maine but in Newport RI.

The Beatles new 9-9-9 release reminded me of a pic of me
from the 90's while on vacation... we had a great time...
this photo should be familiar to at least a few of you...
A two minute walk from a "Tube" stop...

I'm the one in the middle of the road...
